Dean wrote for Time and Date from 2022-2025, creating feature articles ranging from big-picture mysteries like What Is Time to fun bits of ephemera like Where to Celebrate New Year’s Twice (or Thrice!).
Before joining the team, he followed a winding career path that included journalistic stints for US News and World Report, National Geographic News, and numerous other publications. Nowadays, he plays in the band Beat Shack, (available on Spotify and Bandcamp) and is knee-deep in developing an animation series.
